You are asking about a rather larger number of variables. You need to be specific about which diagnoses. Is there a time limit? Do you want to know the number of referrals in a week, month, year, 5 years?You should call or walk-in to local clinics in the area and see if you can set a time to meet with the director. Most professional PTs will be willing to work with a student. If he or she is unable to give you some time to talk, move on to the next clinic. Tell him or her that you are researching referrals in the area and would like to collect data in participation with his or her clinic. If you want to do a project with a larger population, you can get a list of PTs in a specific area from the APTA and mail out a survey.

I am not sure of your question. Children can receive school based PT in school under a 504 plan or an IEP under the IDEA law. The parent is not charged for the serivces. Medicaid can be charged if the family receives medicaid serivces. Private insurance is not billed.Donald Said:
