show up on time
be polite with patients
keep confidentiality
Do not discuss personal issues or problems unless asked.
Dress appropriate for the facility you are in. Definitely no jeans, visible tattoos, low cut, if a female small stud earrings if a guy, no jewelry . If you reach your arms overhead I should not see your mid drift area. Khakis and polo shirts are usually fine.

Ask appropriate questions at appropriate times.
Do not look board. If there is down time, pick up a journal or book to read.

Take initiative Start cleaning.

It was unprofessional, but do you have any legal rights? No, you did leave their clinic and this is an accurate statement...however, it does not clarify why.

Furthermore, you did not suffer any harm as a result of being left on the e-stim. Had you suffered any burns as a result, then yes you could have legal recourse...but not for the records...but for negligence...and only if the machine was not set for a predetermined time and you were left for a prolonged period of time. And yes, the statute of limitations is also up in this case (for most states).

It was a mistake, that's for sure, but that's why these machines have safety guards built into them.

I would suggest you go back to the spots where you did your clinicals for your degree and apply there because they already know you and they will be willing to understand your want for the job and you already know what's expected in the job. If that doesn't work, go talk to current professionals in your field and ask what they did and then go to professionals in the field you want to go into, and ask them questions about what they did. Staffing agencies charge you a fee for their listings and the same thing they do, you can do yourself for free and a little leg work!
