from everything you just said I see nothing illegal happening there. Maybe a few unprofessional things such as behavior but nothing illegal. I've been hurt on the job several times and yes MRI's, xrays, everything of that nature is very normal because they want to rule out the possibility of a serious injury. If they find no serious injury then they (work) doesn't need to worry about any claims. The only thing I would recommend to you is seeing a personal injury attorney, which she should have done right away. If she is still injured, sore, etc and is unable to perform to her full capacity (as in prior to injury) then she may be entitled to a small settlement.I wouldn't/couldn't tell you what she should do at this point, consult an attorney because how she goes from here will determine what she gets for her injury..........consult with an attorney.

You really need to see a physician who can do an MRI, to see if there is any disc bulge or herniation. If diagnostic test are too expensive and outside your budget ( since you have no insurance ), try alternative medicine.Accupunture may help.
