i need free ebooks on muscle energy techniques, a part of physical therapy techniques?

We Answered:

I know there is an EFT manual online. Use a search engine to find it. There are probably other manuals online too.

Physical Therapy techniques for my HIP FLEXOR?

We Answered:

What, specifically are your gait deficits? In my experience, people usually experience a limted terminal stance phase or single limb support phase. In my experience, people rarely need to strengthen their hip flexors, rather they need to increase their flexibility of them OR they need to strengthen the Abductors on the sound side to address the deficits I mention above. .Are you seeing a PT? They should be able to tell you what are leading to your deficits.

However, some simple hip flexor strengthening exercises include a simple straight leg raise (lying on your back and lifting your leg, or a more advanced form as seen here:

...sorry, I had put the wrong link before...this one should be good.

Physical Therapy Leg Muscle Atrophy at home?

We Answered:

Well, its good to excersize the leg a little, but unfortunatly, you are no longer able to move that muscle on your own and atrophy is just going to be part of it. Try putting an ankle weight on, and having your mom help you move your leg up and down, also, lay on your tummy, and have her help you curl your leg backwards.

Pinching of back skin during physical therapy?

We Answered:

Maybe not a jerk, but probably trying some type of "myofacial technique"...either way, sounds like he's not going to help you.

I'd suggest a PT who is trained Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy. This is the most evidence based method of assessment and treatment...especially for sciatica. I'd recommend going to www.mckenziemdt.org
