I need ideas for what to major in [in college]?We Answered:
It's normal to not know what you want to do. You're only a high school freshman, so that gives you plenty of time to decide. My teacher didn't know what she wanted to major in until she graduated from college. So don't feel like you have to rush or decide right now.If you really like animals, a zookeeper sounds like an interesting job. They make an average of $14/hr.Education and Training needed in college: Associate's degree in animal training management; bachelor's degree in biology or zoology. Other jobs involving animals, marine biologist, oceanographer, animal trainer, dog groomer, etc.
Physical therapists (PTs) help patients, including accident victims and individuals with disabling conditions such as low-back pain, arthritis, heart disease, fractures, head injuries, and cerebral palsy, by providing services that restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities. They restore, maintain, and promote overall fitness and health. More info on that with this website:

Graphic design sounds like an exciting field if art/drawing/desginging is what you enjoy doing. Anything in the design fields sounds exciting iin my opinion. There's also interior design, architect, landscape design, and tons more. So if the design field is what you are interested in there are tons and tons of choices to choose from.
If you enjoy music but you can't play an instrument or sing, then I don't really know what jobs are available with those restrictions. From the way you are describing it, it sounds like music is more like your hobbie, not really what you are passionate to persue right? There are jobs behind the scenes that don't require instrument playing or singing like music producing or music effects in movies. Although it is best to have a good music background if you ever go into those types of fields.
If counseling is somehting you like doing then maybe a therapist or psychologist where you can talk to people about their problems. That field is pretty deep and you have to study about the human mind and human behavior. It's a really interesting field as well.
Since you said you love writing then maybe a career in writing such as a journalist or an author? If you get really good at it, writing can be a very successful job. Depending on how well you write and how popular your books sells, authors can make millions of dollars. Journalism can take you all around the world. If you work for a big publishing company like TIME magazine or something like that, that job can take you all around the world. You can travel, meet new people, interview people from all walks of life, and explore the world while you're at it.
Food/Movie critics sounds like fun jobs. But you have to be good at it though. Understand what kind of food you are tasting, the flavors, what its missing, what are the ingredients, etc. And for movie critics, if you work for a well known company then it could be something that you can make a farely good living on. But I honestly don't know how much they make. I'm assuming not as high as other jobs, but maybe so so.
So that's basically all your choices lol. I tried to put in as much as I know. It's great that you are thinking of your future now, but be in no rush. You have lots and lots of time. I'm a junior in high school and I'm still not completely sure what I wanna do yet. But when the time comes, I'll figure it out. Just make sure that the career you choose is something tha you are truly passionate about and something you can see yourself enjoying and doing for a long time.
Good luck in whatever you choose to do!

Taking up Fine Arts for College, Is this a bad idea?We Answered:
well...i chose the job security route...and quit that life 3 years ago. Went back to school to get my BFA (Bachelors of Fine Arts). What you need to figure out is if there is something about the creative arts that you could make a job out of...look at everything that has to do with art. Because i can promise being a portrait artist or of you have dreams of drawing anime...forget about making money. I had always had a passion for drawing and art..and i loved architecture...i decided to go into interior design. So at the age of 29, i quite my secure job and went back to school i will graduate in december and i have NEVER BEEN HAPPIER!!! ya the ob market sucks for everyone...but i am still happy and staying positive.Dawn Said:
What job is better by a lot of money less college and it is fun fun?We Answered:
porn star is not that fun actually, i have friend who tried it and he said its really hard work..working in a hedge fund pays reaallly good, few thousand bucks a day atleast, and it can be fun if you really like that stuff but its still an office job...
a photographer at clubs n parties is good, DJ is good but pays only when ur one of the best, drug dealing can be very fun and pays great money, but you risk going to jail or troubles with maffia etc. :D
just keep away from customer service and ull be alright. some traveling jobs are great

Which career is best?We Answered:
There is a lot of variety there! It depends on how much further education you'd want to do, what your grades will be like. Are you doing A-levels? I don't know anything about college/jobs in Spain. You've listed jobs that have quite low pay but don't need a university course (receptionist, secretary etc), jobs that are very high paid but require many years at university and high grades (Lawyer, GP etc), and jobs that you have to start at the bottom but get training as you go, you'd have to be promoted to get there (hotel manager, marketing etc).
Future finances... student loans from university aren't too bad to pay off once your earning money but they DO have interest (I used to think they had no interest, its just low interest), if you studied something like finance you could end up as a financial planner or advisor. You could look into doing an apprentership instead of uni for some of the jobs.
For NHS courses like physiotherapy and occupational therapy you can get a means tested bursary (money that you dont have to pay back) every month while your at university and the NHS pays for all university fees. So you can get a much lower student loan with less to pay back. You should go for an accredited course so that you can work in different countries when you qualify. You have to have lived in England for a certain number of years before the NHS will pay your fees etc, don't know if you're in Spain now. At some universities you may be able to do your final year placement in Spain if you help to organise it. If you don't know much about occupational therapy look at www.baot.org.uk the first tab at the top says 'about occupational therapy'.
For some subjects in teaching (maths, science secondary) you can get bursarys or 'golden handshakes'. I've heard that there aren't as many jobs around at the moment for secondary school arts subjects. I don't know much about moving to spain with an english teaching qualification, probably depends on the university course, you'd have to ask someone that knows sorry!
Teacher, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy have around the same sallary when you first start work. For me, these three would be the most rewarding jobs. You could work your way up to be manager or head teacher after many years.
Advertising might be difficult to get into. Events organising sounds fun but stressful, are you good at working towards deadlines? You could organise an event at school (are you at school now?) to try it out. A lot of the jobs you could get work experience or a part time job in to see if you like it. Maybe you could try to get work experience in something like a secretary in a lawyers office (try out both jobs at once!)
Religious minister would be rewarding, the motivation would be spiritual not financial! You could always do a religion focused gap year or summer holidays, then you might get to travel too.
So, which jobs stand out for you? How much training do you want to do? What are your grades like?

United States Air Force/ROTC?We Answered:
Here are some thoughts.1. To be commissioned as an Officer you need a 4 year degree. (Except for the Army National Guard)
2. It can be completed at any ACCREDITED COLLEGE. (If you want to complette AFROTC, it should have the program obviously...)
3. There are age limits to be commissioned in AFROTC. These age limits vary slightly upon what you want to do. Rest assured that 21 is not the age ceiling.
4. If you want to join, AFROTC is the way to go. There are a number of enlisted to officer routes out there, in addition to programs for the recent college graduate. I would not recomend these programs both because of the numbers they are accepting, and the perks you miss out on.
5. Many branches have specialized programs set aside for medical specialist (physical therapy) and the Air Force is no exception.
6. Your next step is to visit www.afrotc.com . Identify which schools have physical therapy programs. When you are accepted, visit the AFROTC department of that university.
...Good Luck...
