Team Physical Therapy

Maxine Said:

why do we have to Implement physical therapy/exercise program in conjunction with the client and other team?

We Answered:

In what setting? Who is the "other team?"

First, you have to establish what are the client's functional limitations, if any. What are the patient's goals?

Exercise and physical therapy should address the functional limitaitons and impairments as found during the physical therapy evaluation. The goals should be realistic and obtainable. Treatment must be at a level that requires skilled care, otherwise the program can be implimented by a care giver or the client themselves. However, the PT can be involved with training those persons to implement the program.

Sorry to be so vague, but so is your question. Will elaborate more if you do.

Edith Said:

How to get into physical therapy school...?

We Answered:

As long as you have the pre reqs, you can apply. You need a year of the following with labs which you may not have as a PE major

gen physics
gen chem
gen bio

You probably have ant and phys but you need the labs

You will also need psy, stats and math potentionally up to calc.

You need a gpa of around 3.5 but it depends on the number and quality of the canidates. Here are some links that are helpful
