Deborah Said:

Where should I go for college?

We Answered:

It does not matter where you go. Go to the school where you can get out with the least amount of debt and get a 3.5 gpa in order to be competative. You can go to a cc for 2 years as well.

Sandra Said:

What colleges in Texas are good for Pre- Physical Therapy?

We Answered:

You can go anywhere and major in anything. Pre PT is not a major. You need to complete the pre reqs (sometimes call pre PT). These are one year of each of the following: gen chem, gen physics, gen bio, A and P, as well as math potentially through calc, psy, and stats. You also need to volunteer in a couple of different PT clinics. The PT that you work with will provide your recommendations.

Common BS degrees for PT include kinesiology, athletic training, exercise science, health science or rehab science.

Go where you can get out of school with the least amount of debt. There is nothing wrong with state schools. Going to cc first is great.

The best place for info is the national PT organizations website. www.apta.org (education then student resources.
