Penny Said:

Central Michigan University or Grand Valley State University for physical therapy?

We Answered:

I don't know which U has a better program, but just in general I GREATLY prefer GVSU to CMU. GVSU's campus is much nicer and I feel that they take education more seriously than at CMU-- GVSU is also more selective.

The exception would be if you REALLY want that college party atmosphere in a big way, Central is a better choice. I'm not saying Central isn't a good school, because it is, but they are known for being much more of a party school than GVSU.

My understanding is also that CMU is in Mt. Pleasant, which is in the middle of nowhere. GVSU is in Allendale, by Grand Rapids. So there is much more to do there and much more to get involved in.

Penny Said:

i want to transfer to 4 yr university as physical therapy major?

We Answered:

In the US, PT is a graduate degree program. so if you are currently in community college, you'll need to first go to any 4 year university to obtain a BS degree and complete the required courses for the graduate program. Since this involves a lot of math and science, students usually choose a major related to this. At this point, any major college or university should do.

You can choose to go to a school that also offers the graduate degree, but you can certainly finish your BS degree and your PT degree at different schools.
