How Do I Become A Physiotherapist

Mark Said:

i want to become a physiotherapist but where do i start?

We Answered:

Not obviously at college. I have rubbed people's feet and legs for them for years. I can work with them steadily for two hours without getting tired. You can imagine how strong my hands and especially my fingers are by now. I would have you start with making your hands and arms stronger.

Yes, of course you can pursue college education and teach yourself all kinds of things, but until your hands and arms are good and strong, you will bring but limited help to those you serve and send on the way to healing. You have to admit I have a point...

Good Luck to you with this one. Knowledge is power, but strong hands and fingers can unknot a person's whole body, clear their sinuses and make them relax all over, including the facial muscles around their eyes and encircling the back of the bottom of their necks and across the front of the upper part of their chests. That kind of relaxation in and of itself is very healing, too, by the way. People store their difficult emotions in the muscles which run from shoulder to shoulder in the upper front part of their bodies. When you massage that area patiently the person usually experiences an epiphany. They are able to drop loads of old feelings and put down that huge bag of rocks (sad memories) they have been carrying for years.

I wish you all the luck in the world with your interest in becoming a physiotherapist, but I also hope you will strengthen your arms, hands and fingers so you can bring relief, healing and a great attitude to those you are with, professionally.
