How To Become A Physiotherapist In Australia
Judy Said:
how hard is it to become a physical therapist in another country after getting a DPT in the US?We Answered:
You would have to prove your Standards to whatever authority is in charge of said countries where you would have to be certified before you can even apply for a visa and it would also depend on what type of Physical therapy you practice if it would be considered on the SOL list for Australia while the UK might be more open to your skill in general.Luis Said:

Moving to Melbourne Australia?We Answered:
You're very well situated for getting a visa that will allow you to live and work in Australia permanently if you decide to stay. Both of your professions are in very high demand here and both are on the Critical Skills List (CSL) which contains only the most urgently required occupations. Either of you could be the principal visa applicant and you would both receive the same visa. The primary applicant must obtain skills assessment before they can apply and the time taken for that plus the visa processing time would come to something like 12 - 18 months in total according to the current visa processing priorities.http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-s…

The cost for the Visa Application Charge (VAC) is AUD$2525 plus skills assessment, medical and police check costs and physiotherapist registration. All up, something like AUD$7500, around $4300 of which is the cost for assessment and registration as a physiotherapist.

I particularly like the beachside suburbs of Parkdale and Carrum and anywhere in between the two. A 2 bed house in Parkdale would be around $350 per week with Carrum somewhat less as it's further from the city.

AT 28, you would also be able to get 12 month Working Holiday visas, but at the end of the 12 months, you would have to leave Australia and apply and then wait for an offshore visa as described above. You would not be eligible for any onshore visa unless you have employer sponsorship.
