How can I contact a Physiotherapist from a football club?We Answered:
The best thing to do is to do a physiotherapy qualification and while you’re training become the physio of your local football team.A friend of mine worked his way up through local football while he was studying and then when he qualified he got the job as physio at non league Dunstable Town. While at Dunstable Town the Luton Town physio moved to a different club and they gave him the job. Luton Town were in the football league at the time. He rose to being a league physio within 5 years.
If you want to contact a football club regarding this then it is best to contact their club secretary. You should be able to find their contact details on the clubs website. I’m sure you are more likely to hear a reply if you contact lower league professional clubs as they’ve probably got less e-mails/letters to respond to.
Good Luck

Career advice: Equine physiotherapist?We Answered:
I am in the US, and I do therapy to horses "on the side." I trained as a people therapist and then transferred the information to horses. Anatomy and muscle tissue is very similar from human to animal, just differs by mass. I learned so much from Linda Tellington-Jones and her Ttouch, so do not overlook this in your studies as well.In the US, to be a certified equine chiropractor, you have to be a licensed human chiropractor first. You can become an equine massage therapist with just a couple of weeks of training, but most of them have human certification before doing the equine course.
I have found with working with sore horses, that often their rider is stiff and sore as well. In fact, I often find that if the horse is sore and stiff in the right loin, so is his rider! I can help the horse best by also helping the rider. Otherwise, I just keep treating a sore horse, and the owner/rider does not see that physical work on their horse is effective.
The other advantage is that you can work both in the human and equine field. I wish I could make a living as an equine therapist, but I would be starving and living under a bridge if I tried. I have to to work at the hospital in order to make a living and keep a roof over my and my animals heads.

What is this?We Answered:
An equine physiotherapist is basically a physio for horses, so they help treat soft tissue injuries, rehab after injuries and work with horses who are stiff, say they have a sore back then the physio can help the owner work out various exercises to treat the horse same as a normal physio would do for a human. You do need to go to school, I think for a regular physio degree then you specialise in horse, but I'm not 100% sure, but other than that I don't know how to go about doing it. Best way to find out would be to search online for equine physio or speak to a vet as if they don't know then they will have contact details for an equine physio who you can speak to and find out.
