Unannounced guest-explanation?

We Answered:

Yes. Tell your mom the situation. Mothers are supposed to understand, it is their job.

Hearing someone's voice gives deja vu-like sensation?

We Answered:

Oh wow, I can relate when I was a Marine in Japan, I was life flighted from my island to Tokyo hospital blinded and could not see for ten days from eye burns.

But I began to recognize nurses voices and the doctor. My hearing became really acute in such a short amount of time. But yeah, it was really strange to put a voice with a face. The face I had imagined did not fit with the face I encountered in every case.

But it seems I didn't imagine a clear and sharp picture in my mind anyway, but blurred features. Maybe because of the blurring dimness to blackness of my eyes when they were bandaged. Idk, weird.

Sciatica and not confident with GP?

We Answered:

You know what really helped me with sciatica pain was acupuncture. The needles they do it with are very fine - like a hair. They do not hurt at all when they are put in. I am very afraid of needles but was amazed at how much a couple of treatments really helped me.
Good luck!

Do I need to take special precautions caring for child with Hypermobility Syndrome?

We Answered:

True joint hypermobility syndrome is relatively benign except for variable periods of joint pain. Carefully prescribed physical therapy is about the only effective treatment, and the major precautions are to protect the joints from repetitive injury - easier said than done, especially with an active child.

One important caveat: there is overlap with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a group of genetic disorders with lax ligaments as a common denominator. Some types can be very serious. Family history is important. If the child bruises easily, urge mother to get a consultation with a clinical geneticist.
