Ricardo Said:

Sports Science...?

We Answered:

Well apparently it's a really fun job to do, my uncles the physio for bristol rovers footie and loves it.
If you are interested in sports or sports science then most jobs in that area are fun with good pay (depending what level your at ect)
i chose to do gcse P.E in year 10/11 and it was great fun and i wasn't to b ad at my science either! The main science for it biology which your already doing which is great so aslong as you make the most of it, take everything in andl earn as much as you can i'm sure you'll be fine and it'll be easy.
You might be set on being a physiotherapist now but say in a few years you may want to change your path slighty and if/when you go to college you could always do Alevels in 2 Science's and P.E so you still have the choice of a few jobs to do with Sports ... or do a two year course on a Sports course which what i was going to go for but chose Alevels instead.
Theres loooooads of jobs you can chose from..
- Physiotherapist
-Teaching P.E, in secondrey school, or as a course teacher (college, uni).
- A Sports Coach.. ect
-Work in a Spa/Gym doing sport masarges
Just depends on what kinds of crowd you want to be around - eg - Kids, Athlets ect.

So yarrr help that helps youuuu!
p.s also helps if you like to play sports to join team so your actively doing it too =)

I want to be a physiotherapist in sport, whats the best way of doing this?????

We Answered:

Take human kinetics, physiotherapy and learn more than just physiotherapy. Yoour practice must have some other feature OTHER than the usual fare.

The ones who make the grade in sports practice as far as I know have the words "chiropractor after the word physiotherapist in their business cards, or acupuncturist, or chinese accupressure, or Reiki specialist.

WHat I am saying is
Dont be just a "mere" physiotherapist .

Marc Said:

What careers/Uni courses could i get if i chose these A Level courses (Eng)?

We Answered:

With a lot of a jobs, you don't have to have specific A-levels. The more important thing is are you interested in the job and would you be a good employee. Some jobs are looking for certain A-levels so it is good to find out more about the companies involved and what they want.

Check www.prospects.ac.uk to look at different career areas and the entry criteria for them. Most of them, you'll be surprised, are not looking for certain A-levels. Even a lot of finance jobs, nowadays, don't necessarily need someone with A-level maths or economics.

I don't know if you've done this already, but also speak to your career advisors and connexions (I don't know if they're still around) for more info.

Your A-level choices are excellent and slightly varied so you should have many career options. As long as you get good grades in most of your subjects, you will be okay in finding a higher education (say, university) place to go.

sport science anyone? physiotherapist pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee?

We Answered:

My course work consisted of biology, chemistry, bio-mechanics, anatomy, physiology, nutrition along with a slew of fitness type classes that taught you how to instruct others. You need to be able to understand how and why the body functions as it does in order to truly be able to help some one with their rehab program or just physical fitness in general.
