Training To Be A Physiotherapist

Mabel Said:

How do I register as a physical therapist in New York?

We Answered:

Contact several physical therapy schools and see which one is the most helpful./

Vivian Said:

I was told by my GP a couple of months ago that I had tendonitis in my elbow?

We Answered:

You could try seeing an orthopedist for another opinion.

Regardless of the amount of training and experience, one can make a mistake. That holds for both the GP and the trainee.

Jill Said:

I am training to be a Physiotherapist and I am interested in emmigrating to th US when I qualify...........?

We Answered:

In the US they're typically called "Physical Therapists" or "Occupational Therapists".

Most medical professions will require that you attend some classes and get US medical licenses before practicing in the US. So, be prepared for a little more schooling and some license exams when you get here.

Who teaches the Electronic Movers street dance in Woodford Halse?

We Answered:

I didn't see the show, but the post office in Woodford Halse had one of their posters up.The last I heard was it was a nursery assistant who studied dance at secondary school and achieved Level 2/GCSE qualification. Student teacher's and real teachers qualifications are much higher.

I think you have to be qualified teach-maybe you should speak to the authorities if you are concerned. I think the nursery they train at is govern by Ofsted.

Gladys Said:

is it free to train as a physiotherapist in the british NHS?

We Answered:

You have to go to uni to study to be a physiotherapist before getting a job in the NHS so yes like everybody else you have to take out student loans. Once you are qualified you can then apply for any physiotherapy jobs. The NHS wouldn't take you on as a trainee physio. Some hospitals do have physiotherapy assistants for which you don't need training as they train you on the job but you would only ever be an "assistant" and not the fully fledged physiotherapist. Hope this helps.
