What Do You Need To Be A Physiotherapist
Nicholas Said:
what subjects do you need to be physiotherapist? We Answered:
I see you asked this question in Yahoo Answers Singapore. Are you Singapore based, or in the UK, or somewhere else? I see you mention A-level as well making me think you are in the UK. I'll assume you are in the UK.Basically, entry requirements into university to study Physiotherapy are usually 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) and 3 A levels including at least one science. You'll normally need good to high grades. Alternatives to A levels are considered. But it's best to check the entry requirements of the university/universities to which you wish to apply.
Then, studying Physiotherapy at university will take 3 or 4 years (depending on the university, but most are 3 years) and will lead to a BSc in that subject. The degree programme will be administered by UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service). For your information, the UCAS course code for Physiotherapy is B160. Search UCAS, either by subject or course code (so Physiotherapy or B160) to find all the universities that offer that course.
Then you can apply for a job. If starting university at 18, then you would finish the course when you're around 21/22.
