What Is A Physiotherapy
Grace Said:
Currently a 22 year old stay at home mom, should I start to consider work?We Answered:
Can the father watch the child while you are working? Is there a member of your family that could watch her? Is part time work an option? Does the job you are considering offer child care in house so that you can check on her periodically and perform her therapy? Sorry for all the questions, but these things can help bring you to a decision. Best of luck, it is hard to put them in day care, no matter what the age, but it gives you some adult time, and more self confidence, which in the end can also make you a better parent.Suzanne Said:
What'd happen if the Physiotherapy treatment to the fractured, but now healed hand is delayed....?We Answered:
I think your dr.'s are using the wrong diagnosis, or at least the wrong kind of fixing for you and the problems you are having, especially for your elbow. You undergoing surgery for one thing and then something else goes wrong right after, doesn't that make you question why your body would suddenly react that way? We don't just start falling apart like that. But we have been taught to listen to the dr. But what if he's wrong?Sorry for that, but it's true, we have become so reliant on the dr. that we sometimes don't take the time to try to understand something ourselves and then when you have only had the doctors to ask and they all agree what else could one do? Here's what I have been finding about the muscles and tendons in my study of them. When a tendon is in an area that has been traumatized, it wants to recoil, to pull in in an attempt to protect the body. That is good. The bad part is that the tendons sometimes get locked there and need help in getting released, causing all kinds of pain in the meantime. I feel that when they operated on your wrist, and even though you were out, your body wasn't and was reacting to the surgery, pulling and twisting as it did. this caused the trauma to the elbow which then caused the tendon to shorten up. With it shortened up it pulled on your elbow until it pulled it out of place. You need to get that tendon released so your elbow will work properly again. If you don't the way you are going it will be your shoulder next, how many surgery's do you want to go through?
Turn your palm up and rest your arm on so that your bicep is relaxed. You need to go in around the base of the muscle at the elbow to find the tendons we want to release. With your arm resting out in front of you dig in around the bone to feel the tendons running back there. Get one of them between your finger and the bone and press hard and hold. Take a deep breath and exhale, and don't tense up any part of your body. Wait 30 seconds and then slowly bend your arm all the way up tight. Release the pressure and hold your arm here for one minute. See if you find another back there. Then pull your arm in on your lap and dig around the outside of the muscle to find the tendons there. Press, relax and rest again. Usually the ones that are in trouble give off some extra pain as you push on them which is good, it lets you know you have the right one. When these are released your elbow should be able to be placed back into position without it popping out again.
