My child won't eat regular (textured) food!?

We Answered:

i think ur kid likes baby food(i dont have one).but if that's the case why bother is he really sick or u making him by taking to doc

heat the milk add with rice and add some salt..and start ffrom basic foods..first u eat this and see whether he will like it or not..

sapre the rod and spoil the child. i hope u have left the kid to decide what to eat and not. so he is suspicious in knowing things. what he is eating and it has gone to an extent which he thinks he is great with what he has. buy him some fruits strawberry, plums, apples, bananas, first u have them this will make him feel greedy and he will get the urge to eat what u eat...i am sure if u take him to a hotel he will empty the plate because he know that there is no other go money is paid.....

but at home he knows u wont do anything for his decision..first get some expert advice in parenting from sites like expertvillage.com..also in youtube.com(videos) or u can also read from ehow.com how to grow ur child.

Babies with ongoing health issues-need your opinion?

We Answered:

Oh sweetie , I know its hard. You have got to stay focused though. Focused on the positives: whatever they are for you. I have three children as well. Ages 7, 2 1/2 and almost 7 mths old. It is hard . Although there are no severe medical conditions, regular medical, dental and vision are a struggle to get done on top of keeping myself healthy; Because if im not healthy who the heck is going to care for my children. (Also their father is not around at all; long story) I am the only adult in my household and have very little income and rely on Medicaid as well as I am on search for a decent paying job.

Coping: Even though im a mom, I have to constantly remind myself that I need things too in order to work to the best of my abilities. And so do you. You need to take time to recharge ur battery. IMAO I think u may have to stop caring for the other child on Tuesday. You seem to have enough to deal with in ur own home. Next I think you and your husband needs to have a long talk about the help that you need. He may not be able to care for the kids fulltime but he at least needs to keep them a short time while you take a long bath, go shopping, to the spa, for a walk (whatever YOU need to help recharge ur battery). We all require something different. Also you may need to look into a support group for mothers with sick children because talking and sharing your experiences and doctors and etc can help at least ease your mind. So that you can see the light at the end of the tunnel at least.

Lastly I just wanted to add that there are medical day cares that you could look into so that maybe you could get a P/T job or something ; not so much for the money but to get better medical care for your children because believe me , doctors are only going to give the type of medical care to your children that you can pay for; as it is about money to them and medicaid is very "tight" with what test and care they provide. It makes a big difference. (I went from having private medical care to medicaid; worse care of my life). Good Luck with everything!

I have a 13 month old without motivation to eat - what could be wrong?

We Answered:

Sounds like she might have some bowel movement issues. If we don't go to the bathroom like we're supposed to, we don't feel like eating either. It sounds like she's eating plenty. Maybe she's just spoiled to the boob. A lot of babies don't want to eat veggies when they can have breastmilk. I'm sorry I couldn't help you more. Don't worry too much. Maybe she's just not meant to be a chunko baby. Maybe she's eating as much as she needs. She may just have a slow metabolism.
