Nhs Speech Therapy For Children
Norman Said:
Question for UK parents?We Answered:
They will most likely get a referral from the family doctor, which should lead to the NHS paying for therapy or alternatively you can go privately - a simple search on the internet can open up many doors or if you go to a children's centre, ask in a school or nursery or at the doctors surgery or your hospital - midwives may also help - then they should be able to give you some information on several places and professionals to see.A lot of the time things arent actually picked up with speech therapy until the child is either being observed at nursery or their health checks and at school so sometimes it can be hard for a referral but if you keep an eye on your child and ask the doctor or another professional they should be able to help you.
Best of luck and i hope you find the answers you are looking for
