From what you describe, your daughter seems fine. Her articulation problems don't seem at all severe for her age. Many children at this age have similar speech issues but, afterall they are still learning. The fact that she knows all her sounds and is starting to read at age 4, shows she is probably not only Ok, but bright.
I don't think you need to be concerned at all.

This prayer is very important and should be said with a sincere heart and faith in God. This is the prayer: "Dear God, I know that I am a sinner and that Jesus Christ is the sacrifice for our sins. I have done the following sins (state these out) and I pray to discontinue these sins. I pray to receive Jesus Christ into my life as my Lord and Savior forever. In Jesus' name, amen." I'm Lutheran and I like the Baptist churches. You could find a good Christian church and try a weekly Bible study group with them to learn more. You can pray to God about your daily life. God bless.

First, you are making a very good choice to home school him. I have home schooled both of my kids and have no regrets. It is the best thing I ever did for them next to breast feeding ;)

It will be GREAT for a high functioning autistic child.

Second, don't let people's ignorance make you feel that you are depriving him of "socialization"- that is bunk. Kids learn social skills from interacting with other human beings and by being shown by example- he will be "socialized" by interacting with you.

Third, the speech therapist through the school will likely be your best resource. It is unlikely you will find an on line program that will do the trick... you may have to simply take note of the things that the speech path does with him, and then work with him doing the same things between appointments.

I know that it is a little scary to take on home schooling in the beginning, but you will see very quickly that it is not as big a task as you probably imagine it to be.

You are a good mom- you just keep focusing on what is best for your son and you will both be great... and ignore the well meaning people who think that humans can only learn in an institutionalized setting with "real teachers"--- they don't have a clue what they are talking about.

Speech therapy costs a heckofalot around my area, and I wouldn't recomend going to someone who wasn't LGBT friendly, they'll probably not help you out. See if you can get a professional to refer you to someone.

Here's a few tips I've got: Choice of words is key (feel vs. think is something people pick up on), as is your speech pattern. Listen to other women talk around you, then model your own speech with that.
