Would put your child in my daycare? Do you think I'm qualified?

We Answered:

WOW I'm impressed! I would be one just looking at references then. Everything else is covered. A good idea I think would be for all of the things that you are certified in have readily available so the parent can see them for themselves(see the certificates that is). Good luck with your day care services!!

What are some tips to potty-training an Autistic child?

We Answered:

She needs to have more realistic expectations. I can pretty much guarantee you that a 2 -yr old with autism is nowhere near ready to be potty trained. She can try, but she will only frustrate herself and him. Tell her to wait until he's 3 and then reconsider it.

Carolyn Said:

should i sue or just forget about it.?

We Answered:

i would sue definately. at the end of the day, if your son had downs syndrome then i understand you feeling it was mother nature, however being deprived of oxygen at birth means that the DR's at the hospital did not assist you to deliver the child fast enough i.e maybe the cord was wrapped round his neck, the drs didn't do enough to help. I gave birth 4 months ago to my son, and if I were to be in your position, then I would sue them down to the ground. Plus with the compensation money, you can buy your child some specialist equipment to help his development and assist his emotional and physical needs.

Hope this helps, good luck to you, and good luck to your son. Take care!

Is a slow talker going to be slow at potty training?

We Answered:

Yes, most likely It will be that way. My oldest son has a speech delay and a learning delay and bi-polar. He didn't potty train fully til about 4. Since his speech and communication skills were behind it took him longer to comprehend and communcate to us that he had to go to the potty. My kids that don't have speech delays or problems were still around 3 when they started using toilet. So don't rush she get there and will let you know when she is ready.
