old-aged facility? mom dont want. leave it be. or take her to one and show her living style / new friends. maybe she likes it! best option.
she must be made aware of her age & medical condition.
is there day care facility nearby where she can go and make new friends.

"just a girl" is absolutely right about everything she said, but left one very significant part out of her answer, and that's the importance of taking a thorough case history.
The speech pathologist should ask you about how your pregnancy and the child's birth went, the baby's motor milestones, when cooing and babbling started, the order of the baby's speech sound acquisition, hearing status, feeding problems, illnesses and surgeries, birth order, and family history of communicative disorders.
