Bobby Said:
im worried about my 19 month old son?We Answered:
The language sounds age appropriate, my son was barely saying anything at 19 months, just mama and dada and a couple of others, then he got really interested in being read to and we spent literally hours every day reading together and his language exploded! He now talks extremely well, but he is with me or in one on one care with his father or another adult 100% of the time, so he has had a lot of focused attention and I think that helps. Oh, and we don't have a TV or let him watch one because there is no value at this young age.You say he goes to daycare "to be around other kids his age". What's that about? Is that the only reason? I ask because of course he will learn things like language from you, not from kids his own age, so if he's struggling that time away will not help.
