Speech Therapy Equipment

Tracy Said:

Should a chilld with autism and server sensory problems see a ocupational theropist?

We Answered:

I am in the USA,and my son sees both a speech therapist and an occupational therapist through our public school system. He has mild autism and is now age 10.The OT people have helped him tremendously in how to better react to various stimuli and to stay calmer while doing so.
Best wishes...

10 year old boy? Losing an eye from cancer. Help in school?

We Answered:

If his other eye has normal sight, then he will not need any special help. If his vision is not normal, only someone who has personally examined his eyes and vision can advise what help he needs.

If he does have any sort of vision impairment, then his eye doctors should refer him for a low vision assessment. At that assessment any help he needs will be determined and the low vision clinic will advise the school.

Freddie Said:

Hi, is this a good lawsuit, ok 2 yrs ago, i had my had baby tested ?

We Answered:

I think any reasonable judge is going to look at this and ask why you didn't just take your baby to somewhere else where the machine wasn't broken. Since that specific machine is not the only one in the world the blame would go to you for not rescheduling the appointment not the clinic for their machine being broken.

I know I'm gonna get thumbs down for this one

You need to take a little responsibility for this one, if you were worried about your daughter you should have insisted on the test sooner. This is ridiculous yes you had a string of bad luck with your appointments but if there is cause for concern it is your responsibility to make sure your child gets tested.
