To answer your question...Yes you can revoke the permission slip at any time.
Why would you want stop it ?Speech therapy has nothing to do with her being a smart child or not.It's to help her learn how to speak properly.You might not notice the true depth of her problem because she is your child and being around her everyday you understand her better then an outsider could.I wouldn't necessarily count on it working its self out.At 6yrs old I figure she's in either kindergarden or 1st grade right now.If her speech is not being worked on asap it could lead to life long problems.I know this,because I have a daughter who has speech problems.She has "speech delays".My daughter got teased horribly while going to school.Children are cruel to other children.If it is recommended that she get the therapy next year,please let her get it.Therapist have many tools and ways to aide children with problems in speech.I have nothing but praise for speech therapist.I'm positive you'll notice a big difference in your daughters speech after she starts therapy.And your daughter will feel much better also.Also the one on one therapy she get will help in her other studies too.
Speech problems do not just go away by them selves,I've seen a lot of children who's parent thought that too,and it just made the work that much harder for the child and therapist.

Set up a meeting with the school therapist and find out what/how they want/plan to do concerning this issue.
