Speech Therapy For Adults

Joy Said:

What are symptoms of autism besides speech delay?

We Answered:

Lack of eye contact, lack of a 'social smile', walking on toes, lining things up, 'echoing' speech or movements, the acquisition and then loss of language, the use of people as a 'tool' (grabbing your hand and using your hand to point instead of his hand)...those are just a few. It doesn't sound to me like your child has autism.

Leslie Said:

is there such a thing as speech therapy for adults?

We Answered:

yes.

Joann Said:

adult speech and language impairment?

We Answered:

Of course you can get therapy because of your difficulties, just contact the nearest SLT and see what there can be done for this! It's good that you are active with this and want it to become better, so you are surely motivated for everything that therapy needs (i.e. you need to train the skills you learn in therapy also in real life all the time)! Best of luck, you will make it for sure, though I wonder why on earth they did cut off your therapy without any follow-up skills monitoring later in life (which they should have done the least!)...

Bertha Said:

How can I get rid of a lisp?

We Answered:

Anybody can go to speech therapy. Any age. That would be the easiest way to fix it.

Carol Said:

How do you know whether you need speech therapy?

We Answered:

really the only way to know 4 SURE is go to a speech therapy doctor. and they will tell u if u do or not. most people with speech problems dont know they really have one. so yeah, i would suggest u go to the speech threapy doc, and they will tell u EXACTLY what to do. i really hope this helped a little. God Bless?!!

Ryan Said:

Where i can buy a speech therapy alphabet board for adults?

We Answered:

Not sure if you'd considered making it yourself...but printing something and laminating it and placing it on a board is a possibility...and much cheaper...plus you could customize it...I have posted some links for both options...purchase or self-made...good luck
