He's your Grandson! Please let him be a child!! to many kids have to grow up to fast these days. You don't get another chance at it "child hood" let him be. When hes ready to potty he will, same with talking. Everyone is trying to raise damn robots...they are babies! let him grow on his own ,as far a speech therapy, for gods sake he's 2 .... Grandma your the best in deciding whats right for your grandson, no matter what the Dr said...just as long as he is healthy, let him be.... as far as head start, its good for him to be around kids his age. But the way the world is now...I wouldn't let him out of my sight (no head start) hes to young to tell you much about it anyway...they are more like babysitters...2 or 3 adults watching 20 to 30 kids, i don't think so. ...he will thank you for giving him his childhood as long as you could...12 years of school is long enough....sorry so long..

if he's been more touchy feely with you the last couple months, how is he trying to push you away? scorps have lots of energy, and if hes using his on you, you should be happy. the more we scorps touch and play with you, the more we like you. obviously you have never experienced his cold silence. if you had, you'd know which was worse.

and about him laughing at you - sometimes we like to see the humor in our partner. we'd like for them to be able to laugh at themselves like we laugh at ourselves. i do it with my mate sometimes. but it's never to hurt them. if it hurts, tell him and talk to him. if he thinks of your feelings, he wont do it. i'd stop if my partner told me it hurt them.

Contact The Stuttering Foundation of America as that is where our family got help. Their book "Self Therapy for the Stutterer" worked wonders after working through it step by step.

Ok, so the treatment I do with patients with lisp's is to teach correct tongue placement. A lisp is done mostly when saying words with a "s" in it. SOme people have a list on other sounds too! What you need to do is sit in front of a mirror and practice saying words and making sure you place you tongue in the correct positions. For instance if you have a lisp with "s" words, practice saying words while making sure you place your tongue behind your teeth. You will need to practice this a lot. the more you practice the more your speech will improve and your lisp disappear. If you wanted to get a great book that has words in all different positions to practice with, you need the Webber's Jumbo Book of Articulation. You could probably find it on Ebay. If there are none on Ebay try Amazon or this website: www.superduperinc.com. You need to practice single words first. Once you have mastered single words move up to two or three words at a time, then phrases, and finally sentences. I promise, the more you practice, the less a lisp you will have. You are 16 year old, so you should master this fast!!!! Practicing in a mirror is the most important part!!!!!

I would doubt it. In NC it is actually illegal for a parent to pay someone to take over homeschool their child, but I'm not certain that is always the case. If you google the name of your state and homeschool, you might find out if it is at least legal or not. You might want to consider checking out all the available resources out there for homeschooling families. I know of an English major working with her 17 yr old on calculus together and both seem to enjoy it.
