Manuel Said:
undergrad degree in speech pathology...?We Answered:
With just an undergraduate degree, you could become a speech aide. It is a step below a speech pathologist assistant (SLPA), and you don't need much training in the field, but it is a good way to get your foot in the door and gain experience. Also, once you have your bachelors, you can go to a local community college that has a SLPA program and become SLPA certified. It is normally a two-year program at a community college, but if you already have your bachelors, it only takes like 2 or 3 courses.
Also, it's less related, but you could get a job in a preschool or an early intervention center.
Good luck!

Difference between Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy.?We Answered:
Either will allow for great job opportunities. The pay runs about the same.I think speech is a better way to go because there are more options for practicing in different settings. Not only that, but you won't have to get wet when teaching a patient to shower, nor will you have to teach toileting skills. We only deal with the top end of a human! Speech is also MUCH easier on your back! I think it's also much more varied when it comes to the abstract, thus is more intellectually stimulating.
