my friend was tongue tied and didnt have the surgery until she was 13 when she had to get braces. i didnt know that it could cause speech disabilities. she didnt have any.

anesthesia is not bad at all. ive been put under for all the surgeries ive had my life. he will just feel tired the day of surgery and most likely sleep through the whole day.

i had surgery when i 4 to get a lymph node removed but i dont remember any pain. i do remember being in the hospital.

if he gets the surgery when he is 2, he will forget eventually. and having surgery on your tongue is not that bad since your tongue is one of the fastest healing body parts.

if you can afford the surgery, i would get it done. otherwise i would wait until he can start talking and see if his words are normal or not.
