Arthroscopic Shoulder Surgery
Marsha Said:
How long will it take me to get back to work after arthroscopic shoulder surgery? We Answered:
Orthroscopic procedures are invasive and will cause a lot of pain at first and will require rehabilitation of the limb for its functions to come back. After the procedure you will be sent for physical therapy twice or 3 times a week for 4 to 6 weeks. If you are a fast healer and you attend the therapy sessions and you have a good therapist, then you can resume your job in as fast as 3 weeks. But it's best to wait for 4 to 6 weeks before resuming full activity.Leah Said:
How long does it take to recover from Arthroscopic shoulder surgery? We Answered:
My husband had rotator cuff arthroscopic surgery and it took him a couple of weeks to be out of bed for any length of time, two months before he could use that shoulder to lift any weight and several more months before it was "back to normal". He was diligent about physical therapy, too.Amber Said:
What happens in an arthroscopic shoulder surgery? We Answered:
What happens is they put an anchor in your bone that holds the string that is going to be used to stitch up the torn ligament. It just keeps everything in tact. Anyway, the anchor they use will eventually turn into bone and the string will disintegrate. So there is nothing left in your shoulder forever. I have had 3 surgeries on my shoulders. 2 on my right and 1 on my left- just recently. They also used anchors. My most recent one, the anchors are still there but I only had it in August. But the one on my right shoulder it is now bone. Right now it is soft bone but it will eventually harden. You can see this on a x-ray. So good luck!Morris Said:
What are the costs associated with arthroscopic shoulder surgery? We Answered:
The price of shoulder surgery is very low in India as compared to USA, UK and Canada. My cousin also got her hip replacement surgery in India through the forerunners healthcare .She is more than very happy with the results. She is totally pain free now. She just paid 25% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines. I have read a lot of their patient stories also. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as all joint surgery is not covered by insurance in USA or by NHS in the UK. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that your surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
