Well it is appropriate for anyone to modify their bodies. I just don't understand how anyone could hate their body so much that they would have to pay so much just to change it.

Plus, if you're lucky and your surgery turns out well, it will last for a few years untill you are old, and chances are, you will look worse as you age. Not only that, but you have to get monthly checkups to see how it is turning out. Cosmetic surgery only lasts for so long and in the end it will be twice as worse.

In my opinion, if a person is obese, then surgery such as liposunction may be needed to be applied in order to keep your body in a functioning condition. People that change the way they look by surgery are people that cannot accept the way they are.

Another fact: Make up (like lipstick, I guess) IS NOT SUPPOSED TO MODIFY your body, it ENHANCES your features. Make up is not something to cover your face up in, it is suppose to bring out your good features and obscure the not so good.

Another thing about tattoos and piercings, to me, they are just symbols to represent a certain thing that is important to me, for example friendship, or love or something significantly good/impotrant that took place in my life.

Any cosmetic surgery has risks...that is why you have to sign a release prior to the surgery. Do your homework. Check out the doctor who you are interested in and get some feedback from his patients. Check him out with the Board and make sure he does not have malpractice suits against him. So doctors are specialists in certain procedures. If you have to travel a bit to get to a good doctor than do it. Just don't settle and NEVER look for a bargain in cosmetic surgery!
