First of all, if your cancer spread you absolutely do not know by symptoms. there are no symptoms. i know this for an absolute fact because my mother has had breast cancer for 17 years and is still battling it and it is in her bones and liver. when it spread to her bones and liver she had noo symptoms. the way she found out was by a routine pet and ct scan. My mom is just like your mom and very healthy she exercises everyday and is filled with joy which is why its so surprising that she has it. Also about the whole "few months to live thing" you have to have hope. I pray that my mom is a living inspiration to you because she has had breast cancer for 17 years! She beat the odds and is still going strong. Her doctor said that one of his patients lived 30 yrs after the cancer spread to her liver. ANYTHING i mean anything is possible. She could live as many yrs as my mom has. I hope this helped because if anyone on here knows first hand, i absolutely do!!! also if you have ANY questions at all about coping and just someone to talk to who is going through the exact same thing, I am here xcheerxforxlifex@yahoo.com

There is a website called MEME and they try to take over the internet with their stupid trends like what color is your bra or where do you keep your purse (breast cancer awareness) and post a cartoon charater so no human faces are on Facebook..apparently it would end child abuse like pictures of asses will prevent colon cancer...It's just a viral take over they try to control...until people smarten up it will continue..The one I hate the most is "have a happy period" I have endometriosis and there is nothing happy about it....

I would take a lot of pictures. But I'm a photographer, so that's how I express myself and document my life. It may seem weird, but you're going to miss how your breasts were if they change. They are a part of you. I would ask a close friend to help you.

I can't tell you how it feels. I know it's hard to lose a part of your body that many see as it makes you a woman. My mother just had a bi-lateral (both) mastectomy with a TRAM (reconstruction) in August. My suggestion to you is find a Breast Cancer Support group in your area. My mom has learned so much and had so much support and resources from her group. They are a great way to find out which doctors are really good and which ones to avoid. Find a plastic surgeon who's work you find the best. Don't just settle for the first one you see if you don't like their results or think you could find someone better.
