HOW LONG IS THE RECOVERY FROM FEMORAL ARTERY(LEG) BYPASS SURGERY?We Answered:
Plan on 4 - 6 weeks.Your hospital stay should be from 3 to 5 days. Staples / sutures will come out 10 - 14 days after surgery.
The extra time is for the discomfort to fade away and for you to return to full mobility.
Best of luck.

heart bypass surgery recovery?We Answered:
Sutures are removed from the chest prior to discharge and from the leg (if the saphenous vein is used) after 7 to 10 days.Patients are advised to wear elastic support stockings during the day for the first four to six weeks after surgery and to keep their leg elevated when sitting. This swelling usually resolves after about six to eight weeks. Healing of the breastbone takes about six weeks and is the primary limitation in recovering from CABG surgery. Patients are advised not to lift anything more than 10 pounds or perform heavy exertion during this healing period. They are also advised not to drive for the first four weeks to avoid any injury to the chest.
Return to work usually occurs after the six week recovery, but may be much sooner for non-strenuous employment.

what kind is the recovery of coronary artery bypass surgery? ?We Answered:
I had a bypass twenty two years ago and another eight years ago .The recovery time after each was three months after which you are generally free of pain and you can lead a completely normal life. .Even after the two operations my life is quite normal.I play golf once a week and have a part time job I am also a keen gardener. So please tell your father not to worry he will have some discomfort especially in the first few weeks after the operation, from then on it will get easier. After three months he will certainly be able to drive and if his job is not a physically strenuous one he will be able to return to work shortly after thatDolores Said:

Anyone had leg artery bypass surgery? What was recovery like?We Answered:
Leg artery bypass? Are you talking about a CABG (coronary artey bypass graft) where they use one from your leg and graft it in your heart?Lawrence Said:
triple bypass surgery recovery/withdrawal?We Answered:
Withdrawal? Does your father smoke, or take medications that he isn't allowed to take for the time being? If that isn't the case then don't be too worried, right after major surgeries it isn't uncommon for patient to not be themselves, they can be everything from euphoric, aggitated or even completely forgetful. A long and complicated surgery such as a bypass puts alot of stress on the body and it just needs time to recover.
