Dogs have a quick and unique ways of adjusting to blindness. They learn quickly where things are located to avoid them, Sometimes I think they can hear objects like furniture and avoid it.

I've known two people who had dogs go blind due to cataracts. In a short time it was hard to tell they were blind. One's dog would even jump in the swimming pool to retrieve her ball. The sound of the ball hitting the water was all she needed. She would jump in and go straight to it. The other persons dog would run around the house and yard like it had sight.

Dogs are truely amazing animals and can adjust to adversity much easier than humans. I never noticed my friends dogs feeling sorry for themselves because they went blind.

Difficult to come to a exact figure. It depends if you have Medicare, and other insurance. All my bills are not in , so far I would say about $5000.00 That includes Anesthesia the lens implants and the Hospital charges.
