Cheap Tummy Tuck Surgery

Kristina Said:

I have heard about a company in India called "tour2india4health" apparently surgery is two thirds cheaper?

We Answered:

Please thoroughly research it. There is a spread of antibiotic-resistant organism which was traced back to surgeries performed in India among other countries.

Another drawback of having surgery outside of your home country is the follow-up checkup. If something goes wrong after the operation, you are too far away from the surgeon to have it assessed and looked after. A tummy tuck may sound trivial but there has been some deaths related to it.

If you are still intent on having the surgery, please make a living will and a power of attorney for care. It might just come in handy.

How much do different types of plastic surgery cost? ?

We Answered:

JillyBeans, Last month my mother got plastic surgery and she's really happy with the results. In my state a there are certain surgeons that are better than others. I'd consult plastic surgeons in your area and see what sort of success they have had with past clients. http://www.plasticcosmeticsurgerycenter.… They should be able to answer your questions.

Roland Said:

Has anyone from the USA had successful plastic surgery in the Dominican Republic and how was it arranged?

We Answered:

Please really research this - there can be lots of problems, even with US doctors - you really need to look for a board certified surgeon and make sure that certification is from a valid agency and is a specialist in the plastic surgery you want. Since the US tends to have higher standards of care, look up board certification standards and try to compare them - but I wouldn't risk it, people die from complications inthe US with great surgeons, so you really want to find the best.

Has anyone had a tummy tuck or liposuction in Mexico?

We Answered:

Yeah its a bit cheaper, but then depending on where you live there you might have to pay the difference or more just in transportation, hotel, food and passports. It is cheaper but its not safer or cleaner. Remember you get what you pay for. If your near NY, Dr Greenberg is a highly skilled plastic surgeon with decent prices. He has a full facility, radio show, free consultations and everything.

Rosemary Said:

Where is the best and cheapest place to get plastic surgery?

We Answered:

Whoa! You are talking about plastic surgery here! I would not be concerned with finding the "cheapest place", I'd be looking for the very BEST SURGEON and BEST ANESTHESIOLOGIST!

Unlike a bad haircut you can grow out, plastic surgery is permanent! Unfortunately, it is a big business now and there are many doctors that do not have the true artistic skills, in addition to surgical skills to do really top rate plastic surgery.

Surgery, even elective surgery, is dangerous. ANY time you are put under with anesthesia, you are running a very real risk of complications, including death! The kinds of surgery you are interestd in all require anesthesia. I'd be very wary of a doctor who wants to put you under for several hours to do all the procedures at once so you can"save time and money"; this greatly increases your risks of brain damage, excessive blood loss and death.

You also need to give yourself proper time to recuperate from surgery. You will not be able to do many ordinary tasks, like lift your arms over your head, pick up anything even slightly heavy, workout, etc., for several weeks, maybe months.

You will have noticable swelling and bruising for some time. You should not be flying on a plane within 30 days (minimum) of surgery either. You will need someone there to tend to you for several days after surgery. There are many more things to consider that I haven't even mentioned. I wouldn't even think of leaving the USA for surgery no matter how cheap it is in case there were any complications.

Have you thought about all this?
Are you sure you really need surgery? Have you really, truly asked yourself "why?" you are thinking of having surgery???

Unfortunately a lot of women do not have a realistic image of what a normal, healthy female body looks like. You do not need to be thin or "perfect" to be beautiful. You DO need to be healthy, happy and have true self confidence to be attractive though.

Many people who have surgery think it will give them all that, that the surgery will change them and change their lives, but it doesn't. YOU are the only person who can do that. Start by accepting yourself-exactly as you are.

You did not say if you exercised or not. If you do not exercise, have good, firm muscle tone, eat a very nutritious diet and maintain a healthy weight, you will get droopy, flabby, and overweight again in a few years. Surgery will not change that permanently. If you've been working out, you would not need the kind of surgeries you are asking about. Perhaps a better solution is really commit to taking care of your health. Do your research and find really good trainer and nutritionist and work out diligently-no slacking off. It may take longer than surgery, but your results will last longer and you will be healthier for it!

You did not mention your age either. Since you did not talk about getting a facelift too, I am assuming you may not be middle-aged, which is when most women have all that type of surgery you mentioned. Again, do you really need surgery or are you just feeling pressured to look like some model or actress?

I am serious. Surgery is risky. If you don't truly need it, don't get it. Save your money for something else that will make you feel good about yourself. Buy yourself a condo or house with that money. If you already have one, invest some of it, and donate some to a worthy cause. You'll feel better and more secure about yourself. Comparing your looks to others is futile. There's always going to be someone thinner, prettier, younger, taller, etc., than you-so give it up. Just embrace your own unique beauty and love it!

Really think this over, but if you are hellbent on getting plastic surgery anyway, then consider this:
Good plastic surgery is expensive, but if you are going to risk for life for your vanity, make sure you do plenty of research first. Find out who the best doctor is for the type of surgeries you want. Just because a doctor does breast implants (a big money-maker) doesn't mean he (or she) is the best at liposuction and lifts. (Note: Liposuction, if not performed EXPERTLY, looks HORRIBLE after all the swelling subsides-it can be uneven and lumpy!) Beware! Go to the BEST surgeon and anesthesiologist you can find. If they are more expensive than you have the money for, then keep saving up until you can go to the best!

If you do get cheap sugery and the results aren't good, you'll have to get it redone-or live with the damage. Remember, this is not a bad haircut you can grow out!

Whatever you decide, I do hope you really think this all through, do more research on the different types of surgeries and the risks involved, the doctors who specialize in these specific types of surgeries (make sure you choose a "Board-certified" surgeon), costs, recuperation times, possible side effects and so on. If you do decide to have sugery, meet with the doctors first and discuss your expectations and concerns. Ask to see photos of their work. make sure you feel comfortable with this doctor. Remember, you are putting your body, life and money in their hands, so you should really feel at ease with the doctor. If you do not feel so, interview another doctor until you do.

Before deciding on surgery, also check out some less invasive methods that may work for you without having surgery. They are not the "quick fix" plastic surgery can be,instead they are healthier choices for the long term. How about an exercise program that strengthens and elongates your body (Pilates, yoga, weight training), cardio to get your metabolism burning fat. Have your hormones and thyroid checked to if you are carrying extra body fat. Eat differently. Try massage techniques like Lymphatic drainage to help get rid of cellulite. I hear "Endermologie" also helps with cellulite and lumpy fatty deposits. I do not know much about it, but in Los Angeles, a European technique called "Mesotherapy" is becoming popular for getting rid of love handles, tummy bulge, etc.,. It involves a series of injections/treatments. These are just a few suggestions. Anyway, you get the idea... there are other options to surgery available!

Regarding having moles removed, that can easily be done at a dermatologist's office. Have any suspicious moles checked for skin cancer at the same time.

Good luck!
