I am by no means a doctor but with what modern technologies and information we have at our fingertips I'm sure there is a doctor that would be able to help you out. I would just talk to your normal doctor about it, tell him it's something you're very uncomfortable with and you would like to look into having reconstructive surgery to help you out.

Also, this is going to sound a little cliche but if people make fun of you for something like that then they aren't worth your time anyways. But at the same time, I can understand you wanting to do something like htis for yourself.

The way I see it, if we can perform things like a face transplant, I'm sure there's someone out there that can help you out.

If they put screws or pins in the bone, they could be causing some of your trouble. No matter what, You should go back to the surgeon and they should take an xray.

If you found a surgeon who does that stuff, they can basically do just about anything you want as long as you have the cash.
I would be careful of doing something like that because it is much more painful than one thinks to recover from something like that. Plus, it can seriously effect your walking, leading to a bunch of other problems.
