How can we stoop young girls from wanting to become WAGs and Bimbos.?We Answered:
They want to look like these girls because men find these women attractive. Girls generally try to dress in a manner they feel boys will respond to. It's pretty difficult convincing a young girl that a boy who is interested in her mind is worth more than the cute guy on the football team. Stuff like this takes time to learn, but alot of girls do tend to figure this out sooner or later. Unfortunately, some never do.Hmm, if you're really intent on stopping this, I'd recommend bringing in male speakers who are a few years older than these girls (maybe from a church youth camp or something) to talk to the girls about how they find the Paris Hilton wannabes unattractive, and believe that girls with brains have more to offer. It sounds cheesy, but the girls will respond to that sorta thing better than to parent types feeding them the same old lines- no offense.
Hope this helps! :)

Scoliosis surgery soon, any help?We Answered:
Hello,I am in the UK too and have had surgery for scoliosis when was 14 now an adult i still remember it well so can answer many things you want to know,i had and still have an "S" shape spine i had problems with vertebra's but it doesn't sound the case for you,i remember too having to be in bed by 9 then lights off at 10 so boring but i surprised myself by nodding off quite quickly,
then was woken up at 6am i wasn't happy about that! as i was expected to sit around for hours on end, the days can be long in hospital, but i watched telly but never finished a programme as they kept coming to get me for tests and stuff, they also had a day room with things to do,i had many blood tests and x-rays of each angle so much things going on i was tired by night time,
but not the same as your own bed i chatted with a patient in the next bed, she was having scoliosis surgery the same day as me,but we never chatted about that we were making fun! and were told off by the goody goody nurses! as we were keeping other awake by talking in the middle of the night!, but i slept fine after so try not to worry about that they tire you out so you will sleep, and they had dim lights so it wasn't dark, but noisy with nurses passing back and forth all night,
so to help get comfy take your own favourite pillow it makes a difference, even a favourite blanket too i did i even took a teddy bear yes even though i was 14! i remeber waking up from surgery feeling very cold so i told them and they gave me extra covers so dont be afraid to tell them,i woke up in special care and felt no pain at first i drifted in and out of sleep, but woke after a few hours in pain,
the reason you dont feel any pain at first is anathsetic works by blocking pain signals so once it wears off you wil feel it,it felt to me like a burning and stinging pain i give it 9 out of 10 at that point, but i was given morphine by injection in my back and it vanished like magic,so isnt too bad then i drifted off to sleep and thats how i was in special care for 2 days just drifting in and out of sleep,
i had drains in my wound and a iv drip in one arm and a blood transfusion in the other, then after two days i was wheeled back to my ward,it wasnt too bad i slept a lot but kept getting woken up all the time by the nurses,it was to check my temperature or blood pressure, and then i needed the toilet i didnt have a catherater,i had a bed pan and i didnt do the poops so they tried to make me go by stuffing a special tablet up it didnt work!
i never felt embarrassed i thought i would but i was fine i didnt care at that point, but they do give an injection up your bum before the surgery it stings! but apart from that its fine and a few days after i started my periods even though i wasnt due,i was told this is normal after spinal surgery and nothing to worry about, and it did mess up my cycle it took a year for them to go back to a pattern,
dont let the surgeon put you off they are like that,i met a lady in hospital who refused treatment and now she is suffering she has a huge hump on her back and nothing can be done she is past treatment,as after the age of 20 the bones fuse on their own so cant be changed,so if you dont get it done you may regret it later, but only you can decide really i know its hard,
as for a cast i had a cast that i had to wear for 6 months so the fusing could take place, but other patients had a special plastic jacket to wear some for 3 months, some for 6 months so be sure to ask them,i have now got a metal rod in my back i feel it sometimes, but in the sun it goes hot and really stings,so i keep my back in the shade, and dont do what i did i sat with my back to a fire big mistake it really hurt as the metal went hot!,
i have gained 5 inches now and have less pain than before, i used to get terrible lower back pain but its vanished from that area, but i get pain around my waist, and have been left with a very stiff back but can do most things and i dont regret it for a moment, not sure if i have been of help to you but if you need more info e-mail me and i will try to help as best as i can,
