I have witnessed this operation. GA is a good idea. I cannot imagine having any other option. Usually, an injection to relax you will be given first and then you should remember nothing about it. One night in hospital should be enough but you will require fairly strong analgesia for 24 hours post-op. I would ask your surgeon for GA definitely unless there is some strong contraindication in which case you probably shouldn't have the op anyway. Good luck.

Louise, not all women are as lucky as you are. In fact, most aren't. Even if they do everything the doctor says and don't overeat, they still have trouble losing all of the extra weight. Even exercise won't help get rid of all the excess weight. A lot of it has to do with genetics. So stop thinking you're better than them just because you lucked out.

I know women who "pigged out" and still quickly returned to their pre-pregnancy size, just as I know women who were sensible and did exercise, and have never gotten back to the way they were. Diet and exercise is not what it's all about.

Society has gone crazy with plastic surgery. I think it sets a bad example for our children. That you dont feel good about who you are and you need to change yourself to feel better. Its just makes more people feel inferior about their looks. I wouldnt do it. Im 46.
