It is advisable to call a couple of local vets and get a quote from them. This is a common surgery and may not even be an emergency surgery. Good luck to you.

About how much will it cost me the hernia surgery of my English bulldog,?

We Answered:

Only your local vets can answer that. Prices are different from one area to another.

EDIT: hmmm I know my vet up in NY was ALOT cheaper on things than my vet down here in FL is. But I guess someone thinks all vets charge the same regardless of where they're at.

Anyone Know How Much Hernia Surgery Costs?

We Answered:

Depends on the type of hernia and the extent of the hernia. Find a well respected doctor who will work with you on a payment plan...and/or a county hospital who has a general surgeon. Most county hospitals will work out a payment plan with their patients for as little as $25 a month until you're paid in full (as long as you don't miss a payment). Don't delay seeking medical attention just because he doesn't have insurance. If worse comes to worse, head the the County hospital ER and play up the pain (a few tears don't hurt) to get him checked out and chances are they will get him scheduled for surgery. Never hurts to try. Good luck. :0)
