No, you would have to get a Rhinoplasty and Septoplasty at the same times if you want the shape of your nose changed. Septoplasty fixes the deviated septum (inside) and Rhinoplasty would fix the outside look. Ask your specialist if he can do both.

It's a piece of cake. It's not as bad as you might be thinking. You still need to take a bit off of work, mostly because the medication for pain afterward might make you sleepy. As long as you clean your nose with saline solution several times a day you should heal quickly. The only thing that hurts for a bit after is the process of getting the splints taken out a week later. After that, the benefits are immediate. I am so glad I had mine fixed. The surgery was about an hour, I think, I had both sides done and another part fixed that was also in the way. The doc should be able to show you what happens during the surgery. Mine had pics to show me that detailed the process step by step. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I can breathe so well now.

I suffered with the same thing, and the operation help me.

I think it is worth it. 3-6 months after the op, you're still going to need nasal sprays.

And during high pollen season, you might need to use a spray even though you had the op.

I haven't used the spray for 4 months or so. And I use it for about a month every year.

Had the op 2 1/2 years ago.

I've heard of people that it doesn't work for, but never met one in real life. Let me know how your progress goes.
