Just because it's cheap does not mean you'll get the quality you deserve.

Because you're paying them so little, they usually pay little attention to making sure the surgery went smoothe. Who knows, while you're knocked out on the tables, they could go in and take a kidney and you wouldn't even know it. There have been reports of this.

I don't think it's a good idea to travel to third world countries for a cheap but dangerous surgery because if something goes wrong, the cost of fixing it would be equivalent to getting the surgery here in the U.S in the first place. But hey that's just me.

At my college, you can be a Scrub Tech (diploma program) in about 1 year, but usually you work in and for the hospital, not specifically with a certain set of docs.

well thats's from my general knowledge , if it will be useful:
all plastic surgery types may lead to scarring.
rhinoplasty can block your breathing and it will not work normally , your nose can heal assymetrically. and you sometimes cannot smell.
breast imlants may not be accepted by the body and there would be a lot of complications , doctors will have to put the implants out.
face corections mostly lead to 'dolly' innatural look of the face and you can't move some of your face parts , as for example if there is botox in the wrinkles around your mouth - you can't smile because botox blocks the muscle movement.
what else? hmm... the leg lenghtening operations if you know such - you must give 2 years for that and after it you can't walk normally for some months , and who knows if your bones will heal in the right way , you may find that you can't walk at all after such operation.
lip surgery - well if they put you the implants you can't feel when touching something with your mouth for example kissing.
also you can write about psihological problems of the plastic surgery - what if the operation results was not like you expected them to be?

The two are not mutually exclusive. Many people have corrective surgery after a severe facial fracture to restore the cosmetic appearance of the face as much as possible. However the same surgeries can enable them to use their mouth or nose again properly, which constitutes a medical need. If you're talking about whether I would rather spend my time in the OR scrubbing facelifts versus septoplasties however, I'm going to go with the more "medically necessary" of the two. Each surgery is different and can be performed for both reasons.

The whole wanting to fit the media image is gay.
I just learned to be happy with what I look like and I've gained confidence,too. Doing good things for your body make you feel awesome and I don't need lipo or anything to make me happy.
I think a lot of guys appreciate "natural" instead of fake.
