I assume you mean "cropping" when the dog's ears are set in a type of soft splint so their ears will remain permanently up. That would depend on the vet. Not knowing what breed of dog you own, I couldn't really tell you whether or not your dog needs it because some breeds don't require it because the ears become stable as the dog matures (usually just before their first birthday). The ones that do are usually done to meet show standards, but some owners prefer to leave the ears natural.

I cannot see how that would be of any consequence. It does not mean your children would have protruding ears and if they did, they can leave them or do the same thing. I have a lot more criteria than ear pinning to consider. Have you considered than many girls get braces but you would not think that would bother anyone.

and what i told people thati had it done i wasnt embaressed about it and you shold'nt be , its lastic surgery right just say you had a bit off plasic surgery ?

anyway good luck on your operation and do no=t itch your ears afterwards or the bandage will fall off like mine did now i ahve to get it done again , so good luck with it

I don't know a whole bunch about it, but, a friend of mine had it done 20 years ago and has never had any problems, and he likes the result.
