What you said .. is indeed for beautification :) Listen brother, if someone doesnt talk to u because u have ears sticking out .. u shouldnt be even bothered about it. It is good that you got rid of such shallow people!

What you should do is work on making yourself polite, intellegent, with a light sense of humour so that people will enjoy your company and enjoy talking to u. You should also strife to increase ur imaan so these worldly trivilities dont matter to you .. it wouldnt be long when you yourself wont be judging people based on their looks rather they depth of thought and nature.

Lastly, 18 is a vulnerable age .. i remember myself looking in the mirror finding fault with EVERYTHING that i had.. "Gosh only if my nose was thinner from here" " oh my eyes .. if they were longer and larger like that girl, i would be prettier" "how come my teeth are like this and hers are so leveled and white!" .... But Alhamdulillah im over all that now :) I know wat Allah gave me is the Best for me because he has a certain plan for me. If beauty was the criteria .. hollywood stars would be HAPPY but they are the sad-ist people on earth.

People have lots of free time on their hands to make the others miserable .. let them call u what they want when u grow up more and your features develop ur face fills up.. it will be all well :) Till then grow ur hair a bit like till the back of the head and keep it behind your ears .. that will make them look more flater :)
