Ed Head Knee Surgery

Max Said:

leg tremors and seizures: please help ASAP.?

We Answered:

I'm not a doctor but I recently suffered my first seizure in August without any reason behind it.
From my experience I had similar symptoms, my arms started shaking and right before it happened my left arm went out of control and I then blacked out and was told my right arm began moving all over then my left arm shot up in the air and I fell to the ground and was shaking all over. When I came to I was also very thirsty and wanted to fall asleep but if this happens again make sure you keep her awake and if she is very stiff and shaking make sure not to touch her as it can sometimes harm them.
It sounds very much like she had a head injury the first time she injured herself, when I fell from my first seizure the doctors didn't notice a huge bump on my head which I noticed when I got home and went to brush my hair I saw a big red bump {the doctors obviously didn't want to look through all my hair -.-}.

When they did the EEG while she was sleeping did they use strobe lights on her? In my case that's when they found I had the most activity is when they used the strobe lights, so maybe they should send her for another one.

But the fact that she is constantly seizing and these horrible leg tremors last for hours, this is something serious. I'm surprised there isn't another neurologist in the area that could take her right away because it's not like this is something she can live with and continue through her regular routines.

It's probably not a good idea that once this is resolved for her to continue cheerleading, if she's injured herself once and caused seizures and now again, who knows what could happen next with obviously already brain injury.

For the meantime just make sure she's not going out places and her room is probably the best space for her and if she goes to the bathroom make sure someone is paying attention incase she seizes in there and could seriously hurt herself, and just make sure she rests and doesn't go to school. I know that's a hard thing to do especially since she's in highschool and if you work and she maybe home alone, it's not safe for her to be at school since there isn't anyone there to help her. If she is home alone make sure you call her or if possible have another family member or close neighbor to stay with her or check up on her.

And when she said she had the chills/her leg felt like jello, that's what I feel when I get the feeling like another seizure, it's a similar feeling to say when you sit on your leg for a long time and when you go to move it or stand up it feels asleep, it's exactly like that and it feels like you can't control it.

I hope I helped a little bit, I really hope things work out for you daughter since having a seizure is such a scary thing.

Is this part of my book good?

We Answered:

Hmm, well I imagined it to be sort of a Japanese them type of thing, I felt it was going excellent until you got to the poptart part, it just went off and all over the place! But it is actually really great, you have some great words and imagery usage in the first paragraph. I thought i'd just leave the page instead of reading all of it, but you grabbed me in with all that action and mental painting.

Great job and also I think you may need to change this?
