Facial Surgery Procedures

Stella Said:

I'm obsessed with watching facial reconstruction/ amputation surgery procedures on video clips. Is it normal?

We Answered:

Hey I think your normal. I like to watch those real life murder shows and am fascinated by why people do the things they do.But that's just me. I know I would never harm anyone like that so I don't care what others think.

Roland Said:

If you found out she had plastic surgery?

We Answered:

Not necesarily, it just depends...I mean I think its a definite indicator she may have some self esteem issue... and I (personally find it kind of offensive toward god to be unsatisfied with what he gave us at birth) But Im not saying its a sin...or wrong....exactly...but...its really....well you have to decide that for your self.

Edward Said:

Why do they ask for height on plastic surgery forms?

We Answered:

It's a basic piece of medical information.

Why lie? Anybody can look at you and know how tall you are. Lying to physicians is NEVER a good idea. Your medical information is confidential, so what's the big deal?

I work with a plastic surgeon, and although you might be getting facial work done now, you might come back for something else in the future. (It happens a lot). Other procedures might rely on your height for accurate planning.

Theodore Said:

I need cranial facial surgery to widen the distance between my eyes?

We Answered:

Craniofacial reconstrution procedures require a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, e.g. plastic surgery, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, etc.

One cause of narrowed distance between the eyes (hypotelorism) is premature closure, also called "craniosynostosis" of the metopic suture (one of the skull sutures). This also causes a triangular shape to the forehead.

Craniofacial reconstruction for craniosynostosis requires moving parts of the skull bones, remodeling them with drills, and fixing them into new positions with titanium plates and screws. Sometimes, implants to replace parts of the skull are made also. The specifics depend upon how severe the defect is.

Hope this info helps!

Emma Said:

Is it possible for facial plastic surgery to shorten your lifespan?

We Answered:

No.

You will find no scholarly research on this topic, as it has not even been contemplated to be possible.

But now that you have asked this question, maybe you could conduct a fifty-year case / control cohort study and publish your findings in an obscure journal that will not get read.

Discuss It!
