Umm, yeah...the first couple years of medical school are non-clinical, and you'll basically just be going over the basic sciences. to give us a basis for clinical medicine.If you truly cared about orthopedic surgery, that you probably wouldn't just be concentrating on the salary. Same with plastics...not ALL surgeons are going to making $400k+.
Concentrate on the fun book work for the first couple of years, and then you'll actually be able to do clinical rotations to actually get a real-life look into different specialities.
You are thinking too far ahead, and you are setting yourself up for failure, dude. You shouldn't be getting into this profession if salary is on the top of your list of rewards.
