Foot Surgery Procedures
Clarence Said:
I am foot surgery this autumn but I am unsure about going ahead with the surgery? We Answered:
I don't know what type of foot surgery you are having, but when I had my foot surgery I had a very mild anesthetic they did not use general anesthesia. I had a nerve block of my lower leg and sedation through an IV. Of course there are risks with any surgery, but if you keep your incision clean and follow the doctor's instructions you can minimize the risk. While you are at the hospital they take all sorts of precautions to minimize infection, my leg was scrubbed up to my mid-thigh in badine for my foot surgery! I'd go for it, painful feet are not fun!Linda Said:
Foot surgery?We Answered:
As a person that has gone thru 11 foot surgeries, mostly for "Swanson Implants and bone fusions", each surgery takes on it's own special "uniqness"!Each surgery is different based upon what the surgeon finds. Each broken bone sets differently, and the hardware used can be anything from a "surgical screw" to "surgical plates", which can stay in forever, or they can use plastic.
Joan Said:
the cost of foot surgery if your paying out of your own pocket? We Answered:
Each surgery is different as each patient is different, and the cost could fluctuate based on your overall health. As well, most doctors are willing to charge less if you are paying cash out of pocket rather than through insurance. If your credit is good, they may allow you to pay for the surgery over time, rather than all at once. So you need to make a few phone calls to local podiatrists and see if any of the doctors are willing to work with you on cost and payment schedules.Martha Said:
Is there foot reduction surgery available? We Answered:
There's surprisingly little tissue on your feet. Any "reduction" you'd have would have to actually involve removing bone. I've read stories about women who have toes removed to fit into certain shoes, but you'd basically have to go through physical therapy and re-learn to walk if you did that... Not to mention it wouldn't change things that much unless you cut off all your toes, and I seriously hope you wouldn't consider that. Your feet provide the stability needed for your body type/weight... I wouldn't mess with that too much if I were you.Hugh Said:
what is the procedure for laser foot surgery? We Answered:
laser surgery can hurt.... it depends how good is your doctor!laser surgery means that your plantar wart will be burned out....so...
after surgery you will be not able to walk normally for some days!
if you really want to remove warts forever then you should know that you can remove warts by surgery, freezing, laser, acid or with cream but warts can reappear again and again because warts appears when your immune system is weak! so you must build up your immune system because your body can get rid of warts by itself if your immune system will be strong! so eat more healthy food, more vitamins and more sport activities!
(No smoking, no beer/ale, no booze, no drugs, no junk food, no fast food garbage, no sugary sweet soda's. Get on a good, balanced, healthy diet including plenty of boiled or steamed vegetables. Drink P L E N T Y O F W A T E R , fruit juices & fat free milk. Snack on lots of RAW fruit & veggies. Get up one hour early every morning & take a BRISK 30 minute walk - then - do the same thing again in the evening after dinner. Make sure you eat a good, balanced breakfast daily. You get your energy for the day from your breakfast meal. Get 8 hours sleep each night. Flip your mattress over so it will level out to give you a good night's rest. Slack off too much coffee & tea.)
HPV is the virus that causes warts. And HPV virus has many strains. In your case you have HPV virus strain number 2. People can be infected with HPV and never show any symptoms. Others will develop warts. These warts can stay the same size, grow, or go away on their own. It depends on the infected person's immune system. A healthy immune system means your body may be able to suppress the virus and not show symptoms.
also you should use some herbal treatment!
in that case Wartrol is a good (probably the best) product that gets rid of warts comparatively fast and makes you feel more confident knowing that they wont reappear again! it says that it is designed for Genital Warts but
it does not matter because warts are warts and wartrol works by stimulating your immune system to fight the HPV virus that causes the warts. of course it is better if you use full course (5 months - if I remember correctly).
It worked and still works for me!
I do not know if any pharmacies carry Wartrol but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.wartrol.com/?aid=749165
The advantage of Wartrol over other natural treatments for warts is that, since it is taken orally, it can also act on invisible warts that can't be treated by other creams and natural remedies.
good luck!

I need to have foot surgery, but with muliple procedures. What's recovery time and what am I dealing with?We Answered:
I work at a foot doctor office. Usually 6-8 weeks is what we say. You are having alot done, the bunionette is going to be the biggest of the surgeries. The wart and corn is a simple procedure we do in our office, no anesthesia necessary. The rheumatoid nodule, I would say it depends how deep in the toe it is. Ganglion cyst is an easy procedure also, but my bet is the bunion will be the most painful because you are moving bone and using a pin to hold it. If you are having your pin buried, it will be somewhat painful to remove it. Most of the time they don't bury the pin but be very careful with it. DO not bump your foot. Try to keep your kids away from it and don't do any unnecessary walking around on it either. Your doctor will know if you have or havent. The best thing would have it done at once since like I said the other procedures are relatively minor to the bunionette. It won't be no 2 months. How old are your kids? Maybe you can have a mother in law or friend help out a little. You won't be feeling like doing anything the first few days and you may need to be under pain medication. I would see if you can square away your kid issue, then do the surgery. And you will most likely have a post operative shoe on your surgical foot.
