My husband had it done after the lapband did not work. He's done great with it. No problems with getting his nutrients and can eat just about anything but in very small portions which is exactly what it is supposed to do. Just a little bit of food fills him up and he is satisfied. Has lost over 100 lbs. and feels great. No more high blood pressure, diabetes, and is able to walk for miles now without even getting out of breathe. Not only that, he looks great too. I'm so happy for him and this surgery has been a godsend to us.

I know some people do have problems and will run the surgery down saying it is terrible, but that is not the case with us. I also have 2 friends that have had it done and they never regretted getting it. It's been over 5 years for each of them and they are doing fine. One has never regained any weight back and the other gained a little back but she is still half the person she was prior to the surgery. Their quality of life has really changed for the better not to mention their health. I am for this surgery, but everyone has to educate themselves ahead of time and make the decision of what is best for them understanding that it is a total lifestyle change.
