Hernia Surgery Recovery
Deborah Said:
What is the recovery from hernia surgery like?We Answered:
It depends on were the Hernia is, how big it is, the physical shape of the person and their out look on life itself. I have had several repaired from a beating I took when three thugs try-ed to rob me. They failed in the attempt but I did pay a price for my win. I would suggest that your friend have the operation, after life will be much nicer and far less painful. My uncle was born with one and wished he had it repaired years earlier than he did. Tell your friend to fallow the doctors directions and he will do fine in the end. GOOD LUCK FROM ZIPPER MAN!Roland Said:
can you give me advice about inguinal hernia surgery recovery? We Answered:
You should probably ask your doctor, as he worked on you and knows you better than we do. Having said that, however, light jogging shouldn't be a problem at 4 weeks. In the end though, if you're unsure, it's better to be safe then sorry so I'd suggest going for long walks and slowly picking up the pace as you get close to six full weeks of recovery. If you push too hard, too soon you risk an incisional hernia. But, again I think you'll be fine but if you're not certain then just continue taking it easy for a couple more weeks to be safe.

Hernia surgery recovery question?We Answered:
I've had the surgery too and I had pain for about a month afterward (like when getting up from laying down).I did not however, feel anything hard or bone-like as you are describing.
Either tell your doctor now or wait 2 more weeks (when the pain should be completely gone) and see if that is gone as well.
Good Luck
Joe
