Inguinal Hernia Surgery Recovery

Cecil Said:

i just had inguinal hernia surgery couple days ago will a minor cough affect my recovery?

We Answered:

You may be straining your sutures. Do your best to control your cough. Get Vicks Vapo Rub, put it on the soles of your feet, then put socks on , especially at night (this really helps control coughs).

Take Vicks formula 44 cough syrup. Drink hot tea with honey. Use cough drops while you're awake.

If you feel like you have a bacterial or mycoplasm bronchitas coming on get some antibiotics from your doctor. I always use Zithromax. Plus if it was me I'd take the vitamin C and Alkaseltzer like below, plus Olive Leaf Capsules , 2 of them 3 times a day.

If you think it's a cold or flu virus coming on, I'd take 5000 mg vitamin "C" twice a day, morning and night, and Alkaseltzer, plus 2 Olive Leaf Capsules 3 times a day. Those things knock my sicknesses when they try to attack me. I simply have no time to be sick and haven't had a day, sick , not working in about 15 years.

Inguinal hernia recovery - help needed?

We Answered:

I stayed by myself immediately after surgery, but then again I am a 20 year old male. I had mine done laproscopically so I had a shorter recovery time. The most trouble that I had was sitting up and then getting out of bed because of the swelling and the soreness in my abdomen. You should be fine to stay by yourself after a few hours.

inguinal hernia post surgery recovery time?

We Answered:

It takes around a week or two, and then after that you'll b eable to walk and stuff but it will hurt a little bit still.

Don't be afrraid to miss school, all your work should be excused from doing since you had surgery.
