You are certainly aware of the enormous cost but are you aware of the dangers? This surgery is very complex and very dangerous and you could end up a cripple if it goes wrong. The recovery time apparently is something like 6 months.

If you wish to investigate this surgery you can see it in a web search for "leg lengthening surgery".

Your height is very normal and close to the average, perhaps 1 or 2 inches below the average at the most. This surgery is intended for people who are much much much shorter than you are.

I am in the US and we recently had a visiting orthopedic surgeon from India. I think his name was Dr. Mukhopadhaya. His wife is also a doctor, I think a pathologist or something. He is in the state of Bihar. He's an awesome surgeon who's had some great results. He gave us talks and had many pictures and x-rays of patients from India. He even had a few limb lengthening cases with great results. He was certainly respected by doctors here. I think you should get in touch with him.

If it would honestly make you feel better, I'd say do it.

My boyfriend is 5'5'' (I'm 5'6'') and I wish I had the money to get him something like this because he utterly hates his height and he suffers from A LOT of insecurity because of it.

I do not think anyone should feel the way you and him do, I also feel some of your pain because I have a very small chest, and in a world where "boobs rule" over a pretty face..it can be pretty hard, I think I have made up my mind to get fat injections whenever I get a decent job.

So in all honestly, I'd say do it...for yourself if no one else.


@ Hyperactive American Dude: Yeah but I get told I'm pretty a lot, and I tell my boyfriend he is the most attractive guy to me and we still feel bad. Sometimes we need changes like this to love ourselves more, no mattter how many people say otherwise...I'm not sure how to explain it.
